| Hey Yardog fans-If you're reading this you're probably wondering what the heck is going on with our favorite dog band??? Ok-here goes-you know after a very busy summer & fall each year we take a little break around the holidays, regroup, & start booking again about February/March. Well, this year with Chris graduating, buying a house, getting married, and us setting up a new studio to complete work on the new CD, our break went a little long! No worries though! Things are rolling again! Of course we have continued Co-hosting with our friend Mike O'Roark every Wednesday night at Dirks Bar & Grill, off I-29 on Prarie View Road. This remains the longest running open mic in Kansas City! We continue to have the opportunity to meet new & talented folks every week that join us to share their music. The CD is now back in progress-Chris has his new studio set & promises us to have the CD completed by....Very Soon! We are down to Harmonica & MIXING! We'll schedule a CD release party to share it with our friends! Our pal from the Nace Brothers booked us into Cheeseburger in Paradise at Legends. a Yardogs "Lite" show on May 2nd. We want to thank each of you that were able to come out & hear the acoustic show! For those of you that don't know, Paul & Jacks in NKC has changed ownership, and The Yardogs had a GREAT time with all our friends on the 17th of May in the back lot at P&J's! You guys all showed up in force & we appreciate all the support. We hope you had as much fun as we did! We played a show at a brand new venue Manhattans KC at 135th & State Line on Friday, May 30th. This was a very cool New York "Manhattan" style club in south KC. We played from 9:00 to 1:00! & had a blast! Another NEW venue for us coming this summer is a club in Lee's Summit called Braata Jamaican Grill & Bar. While we have played the patio there before, it was last fall & the Club was called Allure-some of you might remember. Anyway-They are re-opening in May 2008 as Braata & it will be a very festive show on the patio under the stars! Anyway, the date is Saturday, June 21st, 2008 8:30 to 12:30. We also have a show scheduled there Saturday, September 27th, 2008. Thanks to you guys who showed up at Knuckleheads back in April. What a fun venue that is for live music in Kansas City! It was great to meet Frank & his crew & we hope to book a show there very soon! Also, Chris is playing a number of Friday nights with a friend at a club in Briar Cliff-here are a few dates he gave us: 5/9 & 5/23, 6/13 & 6/27, 7/11.
